Prof. Zhang’s research team made a ground-breaking discovery on postsynaptic density formation.

Dr. Menglong Zeng and Mr. Xudong Chen, a postdoctoral fellow and a Ph.D. student, from Prof. Mingjie Zhang’s lab have made a ground-breaking discovery showing phase transition-mediated formation excitatory postsynaptic density condensates revealed by biochemical reconstitution approaches. The paper was published in the Aug. 23, 2018 issue of Cell. This is a continuation of their initial discovery also appeared in Cell in 2016.
