Dr. Ho Yi MAK received the SSCI Teaching Award 2019/20

Congratulations to the 2019/20 recipient of the School of Science Teaching Award – Dr. Ho Yi MAK.

The School Teaching Award is given to Science faculty members at all levels including teaching track faculty for their outstanding teaching contributions.

Dr. Ho Yi MAK joined LIFS at HKUST in 2013 and is now an associate professor. His research team is interested in how body fat level is maintained in animals as well as how it can be disrupted through genetic and dietary perturbations, to delineate the disease mechanism behind Metabolic Syndrome such as type-2 diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, and hypertension.
