The Division of Life Science at the Hong Kong University of Science & Technology (HKUST) is seeking applications for multiple tenure-track and tenured positions in basic and translational research to address our mission in understanding the mechanisms governing human health and diseases. Candidates with interests and experience in immunology and immune system disorders, aging and age-related diseases, cancer, regenerative medicine, AI in bioscience, and drug discovery are particularly encouraged to apply. Outstanding investigators at both junior and senior ranks will be considered. We are also interested in entrepreneurial-minded candidates whose research programs envision a multidisciplinary perspective and cutting-edge experimental approaches. Applicants whose research programs are outside the above areas but will complement or enhance the existing strengths of the Division are welcome. Successful candidates are expected to establish an independent and internationally recognized research program and to contribute to the missions of the Division in undergraduate and postgraduate education.

• A state-of-the-art Biosciences Central Research Facility with 6 cores (Advanced Imaging, Proteomics and Metabolomics, Histology, Advanced Imaging and Flow Cytometry, and Next-Generation Sequencing, and General Equipment)

• A recently renovated Laboratory Animal Facility
• A recently established state-of-the-art AI supercomputing facility

Candidates should hold a graduate degree (Ph.D., M.D., or Ph.D./M.D.), have completed a postdoctoral training, and have demonstrated the potential to lead a competitive, independently funded research program.
