We are seeking several energetic and organized applicants to fill the Research Assistant positions and provide research support in the area of population-based genetics and development of novel diagnostics and therapeutics for aging.
The appointees will assist in research projects that investigate the basic biology of skeletal muscle regeneration, and conduct research and general laboratory duties as assigned by the team leader. The appointees will also assist in performing experiments including animal surgery, biochemical assays and histology.
Applicants should have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in biology, biochemistry or related disciplines with relevant work experience in biology/biochemistry laboratories. Knowledge of laboratory animal husbandry and adult stem cell biology will be an asset. Preference will be given to candidates with practical experience in molecular and cell biology techniques.
